I had the absolute pleasure of sitting down with rising guard Noah Whisler, a young man whose journey from backyard rec games to high-level AAU circuits is a story of quiet grind, sharp growth, and undeniable promise.
Noah didn’t fall in love with the game overnight. In fact, his path began with uncertainty.
"I didn't really like it until seventh grade," he recalls. "That's when my dad started pushing me on the court. That's when I knew this was my sport."
Before that turning point, Noah’s experience was limited to local rec leagues and solo work at home. But the introduction of structured coaching and competitive pressure through Exclusive Hoops AAU changed everything. His mindset shifted, his skill set expanded, and a deep-rooted love for basketball took hold.
One thing many don’t know, Noah started his high school basketball journey early, playing varsity at Circle Christian from 7th to 9th grade. But despite the early success, he made a bold decision.
"It was clear staying there wouldn't allow me to achieve my goals," he explained. "So I transferred to The Masters Academy."
Today, he’s making waves, averaging 12.4 points and nearly 4 assists per game as a freshman. While the numbers are solid, they only tell part of the story. A 32-point breakout performance earlier this season marked his arrival, but it’s his control of pace, playmaking instincts, and defensive effort that consistently jump off the floor.
The AAU circuit has further showcased his talent. With 16.3 points per game, over 50% shooting from the field, and a scorching 47% from three, Noah has emerged as a dynamic shot-maker who understands when to create and when to facilitate.
When I asked what fuels his continued growth, Noah didn’t hesitate:
"What drives me is just the love for the game and going out there playing hard every time."
That love fuels ambitious goals rooted in belief and long-term vision.
“I want to help The Masters Academy reach the state tournament at least once in the next three years, earn a Division I offer, and attend UCF. I’m currently working on getting Dual-Citizenship to be able to represent and play for the Hungarian National Team, and play Euro Ball after
competing in college.”
With the move to The Masters Academy (TMA), Noah is entering a program that’s accustomed to winning TMA typically makes a deep postseason run. Last season, they reached the regional championship, just one game shy of State. But with the departure of four starters and five seniors, expectations are lowered, and the roster is wide open. It’s a prime opportunity for Noah to step in and lead.
While many young players name their idols, Noah draws inspiration without imitation.
"Luka right now, Kobe in the past. But really, I want to be one of one Noah."
That self-awareness bleeds into his game. He knows what he brings to the table, and what he trusts when the moment demands execution.
"I really trust my play-making ability to make plays happen. I also trust my ball-handling skills during those moments, too.”
Behind the performances is a serious regimen. Noah’s in-season training is structured and purposeful, combining personalized strength training, daily skill work, cardio, and recovery sessions. It’s the kind of routine that builds consistency and longevity.
Off the court, Noah stays grounded. A simple life centered around family, close friends, 2K, and loyalty to his Lakers keeps him balanced.
But when it’s time to go to work, he knows what he wants people to see.
"Hard work. Pushing limits every rep. Every step is a hard rep."
Noah Whisler is not just chasing recognition,
he’s earning it. With sharp shooting, a polished handle, and a hunger to improve, his trajectory is trending upward. When his moment arrives, rest assured, he’ll be ready.
