For 8th grader Noah Solomon, basketball isn’t just a sport — it’s something deeper. It’s about carrying forward a legacy that began before he was even born.
“My mom played basketball,” Noah said. “I just want to finish what she started.”
That simple statement drives everything Noah does. From early-morning workouts to late-night shots in the gym, the Class of 2030 standout is determined to make a name for himself — and to make his mom proud in the process.
From the High School All-American Dallas Showcase to the Spotlight
This past season, Noah made waves at the HSSA Dallas Showcase, using the opportunity to show coaches who he really is as a player.
“I was showing them I’m a true point guard,” he said. “I’m not a ball hog.”
On the floor, Noah leads by example — finding teammates, creating opportunities, and making the game easier for everyone around him.
“I like swinging the ball,” he said. “Give my teammates the ball for open cuts.”
But that doesn’t mean he can’t score. After averaging 25 points per game last year, Noah’s ready to take another step forward.
“Last year I averaged 25, so I’m tryna get probably like 30,” he said. “While involved with my teammates.”
Confidence and the Curry Mentality
When you talk to Noah, one thing becomes clear right away — his confidence is unshakable.
“Who gave you all this confidence?”
“Me,” he said.
That self-belief comes from consistent work and dedication to his craft.
“Wake up in the morning, get some pushups in. Go to school. I make at least 500 shots a day,” Noah said.
He trains at Kingdom Performance, focusing on improving his shooting and ball-handling under pressure. When he plays against older competition, he doesn’t shy away — he embraces it.
“Playing against older guys? Very different,” he said. “I’m not big, but I’m quicker than everybody else. The bigger they are, the harder they fall.”
It’s no surprise that Noah’s favorite player is Steph Curry — not just because of his game, but because Noah sees a little of himself in him.
“He can shoot as well as me,” Noah said, smiling.
Big Goals Ahead
Noah’s goals go far beyond personal stats. He’s focused on leadership and success as a team.
“My goal this year is to lead my team to the district championship,” he said. “And get my teammates involved.”
Next year, he’ll take his talents to Allen High School, one of the top programs in Texas, where he already has his sights set.
“I want to make junior varsity as a freshman,” he said.
When it comes to his dream school, there’s only one answer.
“Texas,” Noah said. “Because KD played there.”
And for the younger players watching him, Noah had one piece of advice that sums up his focus on fundamentals and discipline:
“Play defense with your feet, not with your hands.”
Noah has been selected to play in the upcoming Metro All-Star game on November 8th in Celina, Texas, at Celina High School. He will also represent the USA in the Paris World Games Tour in France!

At just 14, Noah Solomon is more than an up-and-coming athlete — he’s a driven young leader who combines confidence, humility, and work ethic. With a game built on teamwork, speed, and passion, Noah’s not just playing for himself. He’s playing to finish what his mom started — and to begin a legacy of his own.
